Mooloolah River Fisheries is located at the end of Parkyn Parade in the Port of Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia, approximately 80kms north of Brisbane.
Mooloolah River Fisheries Pty Ltd was established by Tony Pinzone and Beverly Atkins together with Murray Scott in 2000. Their concept of the development was to provide a fully integrated facility to service the Fishing and Seafood Industries. After five years of planning, Mooloolah River Fisheries construction began and was completed in 2002. Overtime, Mooloolah River Fisheries has evolved from a small operation to the largest operating seafood company on the Sunshine Coast.
Mooloolah River Fisheries is a fully integrated operation with a Commercial Fishing Vessel Marina, Unloading Wharf, Commercial Diesel Supply, Cold Storage, Ice Making Plant, Retail Seafood Market, Local Hospitality Distribution, National and International Wholesale and Seafood Processing Facilities. The complex was designed to be environmentally safe with a fully integrated Environmental System that covers the entire site, maintaining all seafood waste, surface and storm water or spillage, providing maximum protection to the local environment and waterways.
The facilities are designed to handle Prawn Trawlers, Tuna Longliners and general Fishing Vessels. The facility holds EU and full AQIS HACCP and Safe Food Queensland accreditation which allows Mooloolah River Fisheries to export Australian Seafoods to all parts of the world, as well as provide products to a large proportion of the Australian Domestic Markets.

Today the Company has five divisional operations
1. MARINA, WHARF & FUEL FACILITIES.
The Mooloolah River Fisheries Fishing Vessel Marina has facilities for up to 36 Fishing Vessels, a dedicated Unloading Wharf which has the facility to unload up to three vessels simultaneously. The additional services provide Diesel Supply, Packaging Materials and Chemicals associated with the Industry.
2. COLD STORAGE AND ICE PLANT.
Mooloolah River Fisheries owns and operates a Cold Storage Facility for up to 500 Metric Tonnes of Seafood for supply to the various markets, the Ice Plant supplies substantial volumes of Ice to the Fishing Fleet as well as servicing internal and external buyers requirements.
3. WHOLESALE AND EXPORT MARKETS.
Mooloolah River Fisheries is a major supplier to the Australian and International Markets supplying product to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. These markets are high volume and Mooloolah River Fisheries is a recognised brand and major supplier of Ocean King Prawns as well as other product groups.
4. RETAIL MARKET AND DECK CAFE/RESTAURANT.
Mooloolah River Fisheries MOOLOOLABA FISH MARKET is recognised as one of the largest and most successful local Seafood Markets on the East Coast of Australia.
THE DECK ON PARKYN is part of the retail operation and operates as a fully licenced cafe/restaurant facility as well as a substantial drawcard to the retail business.
5. HOSPITALITY DISTRIBUTION.
Mooloolah River Fisheries Distribution is the major supplier to the Hospitality Industry throughout the Sunshine Coast supplying Hotels, Restaurant, Clubs and Food Outlets. This is the most recent of the strategic changes Mooloolah River Fisheries has instigated.
Application was made for the Crown Land.
Preferred developer status was granted by the Queensland Government.
The authority approvals were granted by local council and construction commenced.
Mooloolah River Fisheries trading commenced.
